Style Your Hair Without Heat!

Blow Drying your hair during this nasty heat wave? No thanks. If you’re anything like my clients, you’d rather be at happy hour than slaving over a blowout in a steamy bathroom. These no-heat, air-dry 'dos style themselves while you stay cool.

For A Sleek Look

Coat damp hair with Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Pre-style, it creates a smooth surface on hair to make styling easier. Defends against humidity for up to 12 hours.  Make a sharp side part. Then use a wide-tooth comb to pull hair back into a knot at the nape of your neck. The finished look is effortlessly runway-ready.

For Voluminous Waves

Apply daily after be curly shampoo and conditioner to prepare your hair for styling and protect it from frizz.

Work a small amount of product in your hands, and apply evenly through damp hair and comb to distribute. Do not rinse out.  Style with be curly curl enhancer to intensify curl, fight frizz, and boost shine.  To reactivate curls on non-shampoo days, simply dampen your hair and apply.  Comb through to distribute evenly-then style. Air-dry or blow-dry with a diffuser.

For Beachy Texture
Braid damp hair before bed. In the morning, undo the braid and brush out your hair for instant texture. Different types of braids will give you different looks: for loose waves, weave hair into one big braid. For tighter texture, make four or five small braids all over your head. Try a fishtail braid for a different wave pattern.

For Natural Curls

Air dried curls can weigh down hair at the roots, which can give hair a flat look. To give naturally curly hair a lift without using a diffuser, place metal duckbill clips along your hairline, part, and crown of the head. Place the clips vertically so each one is lifting your hair off the scalp. Remove the clips once your hair is dry, and enjoy your gravity-defying curls!
